[Hedz Up] “What to Do?”

This week remind yourself of what the Lord has assigned for you to do each day. Don’t be distracted by tomorrow or yesterday. Our God loves you and is looking out for you. If you need to make changes, He will tell you. Remember to test what you are hearing: “Lord, is that You.”

Joy comes in the morning.

Have a great week!

[Hedz Up] Baby Steps

This week don’t get overwhelmed with everything on your plate that needs to get done NOW! Focus on one or two at a time, then re-evaluate. Areas of stress may reveal an unhealed wound or unrealistic expectation. Reminder to ask: “Lord, what is the source of this? Is this something we need to look at?” Then follow through.

Have a calm week!

Soulical Warfare

Soulical warfare refers specifically to us humans, and must be fought with weapons more powerful than the field of battle; we can’t use soulical weapons to fight soulical battles. The soulical battles involve overcoming the world, the flesh and the devil in our individual lives. These enemies can only be overcome through spiritual weapons made available through dependence on God.

[Hedz Up] Simplicity

There will always be more to do, more people who need your help and your wisdom, more projects you feel you are called to complete, more expectations from yourself and others. When you are stressed, when you feel out of control, step back and see if you’ve become a victim of Not Enough Time. Remember you are the Master of Time: Decide how you are going to spend your time this week, today, and to what is left over, simply say “No.”

Keep things in perspective — you’re doing GREAT!

[Leadership] People, People!

You will be rejected and criticized whether you do anything, something or nothing. Embrace the fact that people are watching. Depend on Father to bring those across your path for a purpose and a season. If you continue to get your needs met by Him directly, you will not fall into the trap of looking to people for acceptance and approval, nor be vulnerable to manipulation or trying to meet their needs from your soulical resources. You will be able to accept them as they are, and not be forced to categorize them either as a blessing or a curse.

People are unavoidable, don’t be distracted by them ;).

Stay focused on the task at hand and have a fun week!

[Hedz Up] What a Great Idea!

This week be aware of new ideas and creative approaches to problem-solving, conflict resolution or even new concepts or products. As a spirit being, you are a creative person, regardless of your temperament, though that creativity may be filtered by your temperament for now. By increasing your awareness, you accept God’s flowing in and through you in a new way, bringing your soul into greater alignment with your spirit in this area. As always, test this idea; “Lord, is this something I can move forward with?” In this area, unless you receive a “no,” move forward, as it may also be an area where the Lord wants to stretch your judgment. Have fun, realizing change causes stress, but stress is something we no longer avoid, but actively manage instead.

Have a great week! Daddy is Proud of YOU!

Happy Independence Day, America!

God Bless America!

[Hedz Up] Lighten Up!

Yes, this is a time to focus on change, but balance comes from realizing “change” is something we will always have with us. God also intends for us to enjoy this life, to rest and recreate, to re-energize and re-focus. So include enjoyment in your schedule on a regular basis, even if it’s merely to appreciate the life you’ve been given. You will be strengthened and flexed willingly, so God may not have to force you to relax :).

Tithing, Giving and the Scriptures [Part 7]

The Tithe for the Priesthood & the Poor (Deuteronomy 14:22-29)

22″You shall truly tithe all the increase of your grain that the field produces year by year. 23And you shall eat before the Lord your God, in the place where He chooses to make His name abide, the tithe of your grain and your new wine and your oil, of the firstborn of your herds and your flocks, that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always. 24But if the journey is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, or if the place where the Lord your God chooses to put His name is too far from you, when the Lord your God has blessed you, 25then you shall exchange it for money, take the money in your hand, and go to the place which the Lord your God chooses. 26And you shall spend that money for whatever your heart desires: for oxen or sheep, for wine or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires; you shall eat there before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household. 27You shall not forsake the Levite who is within your gates, for he has no part nor inheritance with you.

28″At the end of every third year you shall bring out the tithe of your produce of that year and store it up within your gates. 29And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates, may come and eat and be satisfied, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.”

Here additional circumstances regarding the tithe are clarified; for those who lived a long distance from the center of the nation, so that the animals would not be up to traveling the distance, or the grain spoil en route, the Israelites could convert their tithe (grain and animals) to their value in currency (gold and silver), take the money “to the place which the LORD chooses,” and purchase there whatever is necessary to be able to celebrate the feast. Admonishment to include the Levites is repeated.

A third tithe is specified; every three years, the tithe of the year’s produce (not animals) was to be put into a community storehouse. This was to be a resource for the local Levites, and those who were in need (the stranger, orphaned and widowed). The one bringing the tithe did not partake of this tithe, neither was it dedicated to the Lord. THIS TITHE WAS SET ASIDE TO REPLENISH THE SUPPLY FOR THE PRIESTHOOD AND THE NEEDY OF THE LAND.
